Two new applications join XSuite this month: XArchive™ and XApps™. Both do the same thing for two of the most common requests in a hosted Relativity environment. They replace the support ticket with a button.
The Hidden Cost of the Queue
Most firms and corporate legal teams now run discovery in a provider-hosted Relativity environment. That model brings scale and security. It also puts a provider between the case team and basic housekeeping.
Need a workspace archived when a matter closes? Open a ticket. Need an application added for a new review workflow? Open a ticket, then ask whether it costs extra. Each request is small. Together, they add up.
- Idle workspaces keep billing. A closed matter that waits in a queue stays on active hosting, and hosting costs scale with data volume.
- Workflows stall. Review teams wait on tools they need today, while deadlines don’t move.
- Cost surprises erode trust. Clients want to know what affects their invoice before they commit, not after.
As matters grow larger and aiR-driven review raises the pace of the work, legal teams expect the same self-service control they get from every other platform they use. Waiting on a ticket for routine tasks no longer fits.

XArchive: Close Out Matters on Your Schedule
XArchive puts the workspace lifecycle in your team’s hands. Choose the workspace, click Archive, and follow progress live. Validation runs automatically, and you get an email when it’s done.
One tab gives you three views:
- Workspaces: every workspace in your domain, each with an Archive button
- Archives: every archive your firm has made, restorable in a couple of clicks
- Jobs: every request, its status, and a plain-language history of what was checked
Archives land in your firm’s own dedicated storage. Restores still route through IntrepidX for approval, because restoring a workspace puts it back on active billing. Control stays where it belongs.

XApps: The Right Tool, in Minutes
XApps gives your team a catalog of Relativity applications IntrepidX has approved for your firm. Pick an app, select the workspace, and see any cost up front before you click Install.
Before anything runs, XApps confirms the workspace belongs to your firm, the app is available to your domain, and it can run in that workspace type. Relativity handles the install, and small applications typically finish within a few minutes. You can see what’s installed across every workspace and request removals from the same screen.
Built Safe by Design
Neither application adds risk to give you speed:
- No new permissions. Domain admins keep exactly the rights they have today. Each app adds one tab.
- No data leaves. Both run entirely inside your Relativity aiR instance, on Relativity’s own services.
- Strict separation. Requests reach only your firm’s workspaces, and Relativity’s audit records every action.
Why It Matters: A Different Kind of Provider
Most discovery providers treat routine administration as a service line. Every ticket is a touchpoint, and every touchpoint is a wait. IntrepidX is taking the opposite approach.
We build the tools that let clients run routine tasks themselves, then keep our experts focused on the work that needs judgment. That means faster close-outs, cleaner invoices, and review teams that never sit idle waiting for an app.
XArchive and XApps join a growing XSuite toolset built by a team that works inside Relativity every day. They reflect a simple belief: the best provider is the one that gets out of your way when it should, and is right there when you need it.
